C2A... FYI Called2Action on CNN Thursday night Friends, There is a case making its way through the NC court system involving a Muslim woman in Greensboro who wanted to be sworn in for a court proceeding using a Qur'an instead of the Bible. The Judge denied her request and the North Carolina chapter of the ACLU filed suit. The suit was dismissed, but two weeks ago it was given new life by an appeals court. This is the subject of my interview with CNN. The interview will air on tomorrow nights broadcast of Paula Zahn, Now which appears on CNN from 8:00-9:00pm EST. Please pray that the editing will be fair and that God will be glorified. This topic will be receiving more national attention because a liberal state senator from the Chapel Hill area (Eleanor Kinnaird) just put forth a bill that includes the following language: ...first require the party sworn to place the party's hand upon the Bible or any text sacred to the party's religious faith. If appropriate to the person's religious faith, the words "so help me God" may be deleted. Religious faiths could include Satanism, Wicca, Taoism, Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism, Scientology, etc. Many of the "sacred text's" related to these various faiths run in complete contradiction to our way of governance, not to mention the Judeo-Christian underpinnings of this nation. This is just another battle in the larger war to remove all things Christian from our public life. We will keep you informed as this case moves forward.
