C2A... FYI "Parents for Educational Freedom" seminar on March 6th Friends, Education is a hot topic all over America, but it seems to be even hotter here in North Carolina. Next Tuesday evening there is a seminar that we thought many of you would be interested in... Parents for Educational Freedom in North Carolina is hosting a seminar next Tuesday, March 6th at the Upper Room Christian Academy. "A Blueprint for Our Children's Future" discusses the subject of parental choice in education. You can read more about this seminar here. Here is a small fragment from their website to give you a good idea what this organization is all about: Founded on July 5, 2005, Parents for Educational Freedom in North Carolina (PEFNC), a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, is lead by a diverse group of leaders — professionally, socially and politically. However diverse, all agree that real solutions must be sought in order to address one of the major issues that now face our state in the 21st Century: How can we effectively better an educational system for not just some but for all children in North Carolina? In light of the ever increasing problems we now face in our North Carolina Public Schools (such as tens-of-thousands of children dropping out of school each year and poor statewide graduation rates particularly in our minority communities), PEFNC believes that parental school choice is an idea whose time has truly come by giving parents the financial freedom and legal freedom to choose an education that is best for their child.
