C2A... FYI Will you help us spread the C2A message statewide? Friends, The last 3 years have been nothing less than amazing. I had no idea what God was up to when He started me on this life-changing journey simply by taking a leap of faith and handing out flyers in churches encouraging folks to join us at a Raleigh City Council meeting. It was standing room only as 450 people answered that first “call to action” and on the sidewalk that afternoon our ministry was born. Five months later I was inside the Please take a minute to visit our homepage at www.c2aonline.org and look over the “highlights” sheet and see for yourself how God has used this organization since the Spring of 2004. When you consider the fact that Called2Action is run by volunteers who work on it in their spare time while continuing to parent their children, work their jobs and run their businesses, these accomplishments become a bit more significant, if not miraculous. The Apostle Paul reminds us that more often then not, God chooses the ordinary to do the extraordinary: “Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.” I Cor 1:26 The past three years have provided intense spiritual satisfaction and joy, but it has always seemed that God was up to something bigger than what we were doing. I knew during my work on the Harvest Crusade that God was about to turn another corner in this journey, but what was it? Should we try to start C2A chapters all over the state? Should we just focus on local issues? Should we do more with statewide issues? Should we just drop it and move on with our individual lives? Sometimes I do long for the simpler lifestyle I used to lead…but that was a lifestyle that ignored the call God had placed on my heart. I made a very conscious decision back in 2004 to end my “camouflaged Christian” ways. Called2Action is as much about waking up the sleepy Body of Christ as it is about engaging in the culture war. We believe the Church in
“I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm – neither hot nor cold – I am about to spit you out of my mouth.” Rev 3:15-16
In the original language the word is not spit, it’s actually vomit. That statement should shake believers in We believe that God has shown us what he wants us to do next. I hope to be hosting a live radio program starting next month on AM 1030, WTRU. Called2Action This Week with We have been offered a six-month contract with WTRU for a total cost $22,500. We also have membership costs and other related expenses for the two prominent national organizations we belong to (The Arlington Group and The Council for National Policy). Our membership in these groups provides the basis for the relationships we now enjoy with the national organizations that are mentioned on the highlight sheet. These organizations could also play a significant role in the development of the radio show. We need your help to raise at least $30,000 by September 30th. We have never done a mass appeal for financial help, but this fork in the C2A road requires that we do so now. Called2Action will remain engaged in the issues as we always have…and it will remain voluntary. This money is not needed to pay any of us, but it is required to help us spread this message that the Lord has placed on our hearts. Please join us in this effort and make your contribution today. You can use a credit card online at by visiting our donations page here or simply mail a check made out to Called2Action to As always, thank you so much for your prayers and continued support.
