Friends, Below you will find an excerpt from a recent Planned Parenthood email regarding the Sex-Ed legislation that we were able to stop earlier this year. While we may be thinking that everything is "OK" for now, they are still on the offensive and calling their troops into action.   THE FOLLOWING EXCERPT IS FROM PLANNED PARENTHOOD, OUR NATION'S LEADING MURDERER OF THE UNBORN:
With school back in session, classrooms are full of kids and teens studying science and math and history. But you might be shocked to hear what they aren’t learning.  During this year’s Legislative session, lawmakers introduced a sex education bill that would restore comprehensive, responsible sex education to schools in North Carolina . Our bill was heard and passed out of the NC House Health Committee but died before crossover, the date by which bills must pass from one chamber to the other in order to remain eligible for debate.  This spring you sent tens of thousands of E-mails in support of the bills to reform sex ed. Hundreds of you called your representatives and dozens of you packed the health committee meetings when this bill was heard.  Don’t stop now!  Tell your representative how disappointed you are that this bill didn’t make it further and let them know and let them know that restoring sex education to NC is still a priority to you. The best way to reach your representative is to tell your story. Edit the message below and tell your representatives exactly what sex education means to you.  Act now to tell your legislators you expect them to put the health and education of North Carolina’s youth FIRST next legislative session   For most of you, this is probably the first time you have seen an opposition email. I hope it disturbs you as much as it does me. I heard a quote on Dr. D. James Kennedy's program recently and it sent chills down my spine: The best of men lack conviction, while the worst of men are filled with passionate intensity. While this statement is not universally true (take Dr. Kennedy himself as an example), it is certainly true in most cases. Our "side" has lacked the "passionate intensity" that is required to make a lasting impact on the culture. This fact can be seen in voter turnout, grassroots activism, volunteerism, financial sacrifice, sharing the Gospel and yes, even in prayer. God has given Called2Action a clear calling to do everything we can to get Christians engaged in the spiritual war that rages around us. One month ago we sent out a C2A...FYI asking for your financial support. We are grateful for the handfull of contributions that have come in, but it represents less than 1% of the people who are on our email list! Called2Action will continue to do whatever it can for the cause of biblical righteousness in our country, but without your financial support, our impact will be severely limited. The Apostle James said, "Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do." If faith is real it always results in action. In desperate times, the status quo will only result in defeat. I am asking you to embrace both of those statements and consider what you will do to help support Called2Action financially.ÂÂ
