We are very concerned that the Wake County School Board will be taking up the mantra that we successfully fought off earlier this year in the State Legislature...the return of so-called comprehensive sex education.  If you don't remember the shocking details of that movement to kill abstinence education statewide, then please take a moment to review the ActionGram here.

I'm sure you remember the parable of the Good Samaritan.  People continued to walk by the man who lay beaten and dying along the road.  Perhaps they were on their way to work and didn't think they had the time to stop...maybe they were pre-occupied with their own "problems"...maybe they just felt he had gotten what he deserved.  Regardless of their reasons, they were all wrong...they had all sinned.

There was a period in my past when I couldn't have cared less about local elections.  I have to admit, I was self-absorbed.  But that changed a few years back when God reminded me of two things:

• The story of the Good Samaritan (I had been the guy walking by)
• James 4:17   "Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins".

We have been commanded to be Salt & Light in this world...and in a Representative Republic, one of the most effective ways is to do whatever we can to elect public servants that share our values.  THAT IS WHY WE MUST ALL VOTE TOMORROW!

The polls open at 6:30am and close at 7:00pm
