C2ActionGram Nativity in Raleigh a "GO", but we need your help to make it happen! Friends, Great Christmas News!!! I just got word from Ed Rubio, President of American Craftsman, that he will be able to put the Nativity scene back up in Moore Square for us this year, but we need to help him with the costs. Time is short, so we need you to respond quickly! I spoke to the Mayor's office on Friday and they gave us the "OK" to put the display back up! Now that we have a track record, we don't have to jump through the hoops and apply any kind of grassroots pressure. Praise the Lord for that...and many thanks to Russell Allen, City Manager (send him a note of thanks at: Russell.Allen@ci.raleigh.nc.us ) That was the easy part...here is our challenge: We need to raise $2200 by the end of the week to pay for the raw cost of construction as well as the liability insurance we need to carry. Are we up to the challenge? I sure hope so. I know many of you could write a check for the entire amount, and I hope you do! Setting that aside, 50 people giving just $44 a piece gets it done as well. If we can count on your support, please send me an email right away and let me know how much you can give (c2athisweek@yahoo.com) . I'll send out an update by this coming Wednesday. Remember, you can give via credit card at our website or simply mail a check, made out to "Called2Action", to PO Box 99162, Raleigh NC 27624. If we can't raise the money by the end of the week, we'll just have to pass this year. Thank you for your prayers and support, Steve Noble, Chairman Back to Home Page |
